Matt Bishop is a well-known local Duelist here in Toronto with four YCS top cuts in his Dueling career. His opponent Francois Boucher hails from Quebec City, and this is his first YCS ever. Bishop’s 2-0 so far with Tidal Mermails, while Boucher’s undefeated with Teleport Karakuri. Note that Matt Bishop isn’t running Mechquipped Angineer, nor is he playing multiple copies of Bahamut Shark and Mermail Abysstrite – a suite of cards that’s proving popular today amongst Water Duelists in the know. New Jersey’s Abramo Manfredonia is fourteen years old, and won his Round 1 Feature Match with Naturias! His Deck’s built around Naturia Bamboo Shoot; if he can defend it, he can lock his opponent out of their Spell and Trap Cards entirely. His opponent is long-time veteran Thomas Mak, running the Dragon Ruler Plant Deck that a number of competitors are banking on this weekend! Mak won the first-ever official team tournament years ago in Indianapolis, and has been a YCS regular ever since.
