Local Seattle Duelist Amanuel Yihdego is Dueling in his first YCS this weekend! He finished the Swiss Rounds using a Nekroz Deck with an 8-1-1 record and just won his Top 32 Match. Omar Daoudi from Lakewood, California is in a similar situation. He finished the Swiss Rounds with an 8-2 record and just won a Top 32 Feature Match using his Nekroz Deck to defeat Qliphorts. But now, Yihdego and Daoudi are both entering new territory. They must cast aside their Nekroz Decks and use the Decks they constructed during the Battle Pack 3: Monster League draft. There will be no Ritual Monsters used in this Match – it’s time to Duel!

Local Seattle VIP Duelist Yueqi Zhu finished the Swiss Rounds with a 9-1 record this weekend, earning a first place finish at the end of Swiss. His opponent, Zhe Sun from Missouri, finished off with a 7-2-1 record, just making it into the Top 32 with a thirty-second place finish at the end of the Swiss Rounds. Now, they’re Dueling against one another in a Nekroz mirror-Match that will eliminate one of these 2 Duelists from the tournament once and for all. It’s time to Duel!

A huge amount of Nekroz made it into the Top 32, and Omar Daoudi is one of them. He ended the Swiss portion at 8-2, a respectable record in a Field of intense Nekroz mirror matches. He is a Southern California native, with YCS Anaheim being his first YCS and his first time making it to Top Cut, so he’s excited to have had repeated success in this tournament. Destin Kaspi is one of the six Qliphort Duelists who made it into Top Cut of this tournament, a Seattle local who is trying to win big here this weekend. Only one can advance to the Battle Pack 3: Monster League Draft portion, which will make it?
