Remember the most recent YCS in North America? It took place in Tacoma, Washington and Barrett Keys became the champion by defeating Stephen De Lara in the Finals.
Now, the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series is here in Chicago, and the Finals are about to begin. And once again, Barrett Keys is seated across from Stephen De Lara in a Match that will determine which of these two Duelists will become the YCS winner. Will Barrett Keys beat Stephen De Lara in two Finals in a row, or will Stephen De Lara get his revenge on Barrett Keys and take his first YCS tournament victory? All of this weekend has led to this point for our Dragon Duelists! Jackson Sayre won the Dragon Duel tournament yesterday, while Michael Sakowicz won today’s tournament just mere moments ago. Both are winners, but only one gets the official title of YCS Chicago Dragon Duel Champion! They used Sealed Decks in their main tournament Duels, but this playoff game is using their Constructed Decks. Since each of these Duelists are Dragon Duel Champions of the past, this should prove to be a great game.

For the final round of Sunday’s Dragon Duel’s, we’re featuring some familiar faces! We saw 11-year-old Zach Taylor, from Aurora, IL, in yesterday’s feature where he faced off against Jackson Sayre. He’s made it back to the Feature Table today, looking to win it this time. He’s facing 13-year-old Michael Sakowicz, from Naperville, IL. The Duelists will be facing off with their Sealed Decks, and the winner will move on to face Jackson Sayre in the final Dragon Duel playoff!

Fresh off of his win from YCS Tacoma, Barrett Keys is back at the top tables competing for a spot in the Finals of YCS Chicago. Cincinnati, Ohio’s Tairone Stutson piloted his Qliphort Deck to a 9-1-1 finish this weekend. Now, he’s Dueling against Oklahoma City’s Kevin Malone, who finished the Swiss Rounds with a 9-2 record using Tellarknights. Both of these Duelists are using new Decks as of this Round, created by drafting Battle Pack 3: Monster League. The winner of this Match will advance to the Top 8. It’s time to Duel!

Ritual Beast Duelist Robert Kenny from Orlando, Florida finished the Swiss Rounds with a 9-2 record this weekend, losing only to 2 Nekroz Decks. Now, he’s paired against reigning World Champion Sehabi Kheireddine from Canada! Kheireddine finished the Swiss Rounds with a 10-1 record using his Nekroz Deck, only suffering a single loss to another Nekroz Deck.
This is Kenny’s first time making it to the Top 32 at a YCS; but to advance any further, he’ll need to defeat the 2014 World Champion. Will Kenny be able to score an upset and pilot his Ritual Beast Deck to the Top 32? Or will Kheireddine’s tournament experience be too much for Kenny to handle? We’re about to find out! It’s the Top 32! From here on out, it’s single elimination. The winner here will move on to the Top 16, where the Draft portion of the tournament begins. This Duel pits Cameron Neal, of Arlington, Texas, against Louis Kelley, from the Chicago area. Neal is using Nekroz, the most popular Deck of the tournament, while Kelley is showing off the power of Satellarknights.
