YCS Minneapolis Wrap-Up!

Another YCS is in the books!  Over the course of the weekend, we saw a wide variety of strategies and tactics; but in the end, Marcus Hayden from Joliet, Illinois and his Metalfoes Deck bested 768 other Duelists and became the champion of YCS Minneapolis!

Dragon Duel Playoff Feature Match: Rohan Motie vs. Tate Mack

October 17th, 2016

13-year-old Rohan Motie took down the Dragon Duel on Saturday, while 13-year-old Tate Mack claimed victory in the Sunday Dragon Duel. Now both Dragon Duelists are facing off for the title of YCS Minneapolis Dragon Duel Champion! Motie is piloting a Blue-Eyes based Hieratic Dragon strategy, while Mack has chosen to use an Amorphage Deck. Who will come out on top? It’s time to Duel!

Finals Feature Match: Joel White vs. Marcus Hayden

It all comes down to this!  Joel White from Griffith, Indiana, who is here at his first YCS, finished with a 9-1 record in the Swiss Rounds. Now, he’s meeting Marcus Hayden from Joliet, Illinois in the Finals. Hayden finished the Swiss Rounds with an 8-2 record.  Each Duelist is using a Metalfoes Deck, but only one of them can come out on top.  It’s time to Duel!

Top 4 Feature Match: Dakota Angeloff vs. Joel White

We’re down to 4 Duelists at YCS Minneapolis!  We featured Joel White in the Top 16 with his Metalfoes Deck, and he’s still in the tournament now facing Dakota Angeloff and his Phantom Knight Burning Abyss Deck.  One of these Duelists is going to the Finals, and will receive a guaranteed Super Rare version of the YCS prize card, Number 93: Utopia Kaiser.  Who will move on to the Finals?  We’re about to find out.  It’s time to Duel!
