He is entitled to VIP privileges and a 2-round bye to any YCS he enters in North America, along with free entry to any Regional Qualifier or YCS that he enters. He’s looking to add a YCS victory to his list of accolades, and he’s one win away from it! However, Peter Xiang is looking for the championship as well! Both Duelists have variants of the Zoodiac strategy: Xiang is using Kaijus in his Deck, while Furman is using Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King. Which Duelist will win it all? This is the last round of the Dragon Duel tournament for Sunday. All Dragon Duel tournaments at a YCS are played in a Sealed format. Players are given 50 cards opened from 10 packs of Battle Pack: Epic Dawn and must construct a Deck of a minimum of 40 cards from only those cards. The Top 32 is set, and the bracket gave us a huge match right at the get-go. The 2nd seed, multi-time YCS winner Jeff Jones is facing off against another YCS winner, 31st seed and longtime friend Dale Bellido. Dale took some time off from the game but is playing in his first tournament in 5 years, making Top 32 with a Zoodiac Kaiju Deck. Jeff is running Zoodiacs without the Kaijus. This is a match-up that would likely be in the Finals if both players were in opposite brackets. Instead, one of these accomplished Duelists will have to exit the tournament after this round. This is the last round of Swiss before we cut to Single Elimination. Only the Top 32 will move on from here, so everyone wants one more win to improve their chances. Kamal Crooks hails from Florida, bringing Zoodiac with Predaplant Ophrys Scorpio and Predaplant Darlingtonia Cobra to get easy access to Instant Fusion. Welcome to Day 2 of YCS Pittsburgh! We’ve got a great Match lined up to start the day! Grant Williams, from Pottstown, PA, was tearing up the competition yesterday using his Dinomist Deck! The Dinomist strategy uses steam-powered dino-robots, making it automatically cool. All Dinomists are Pendulum Monsters, with Pendulum effects that can protect other Dinomists from destruction or targeting effects. His opponent, North Carolina Duelist Jacob Banuelos, is one of our VIP Duelists. Banuelos is using an Infernoid Zoodiac Deck.
