Round 9 Feature Match: Jarred Charles Randolph vs. Dablessin Jaquise Wilson

Welcome to Round 9! We have this round plus one more before the cut to the Top 32 playoff. Winning out is important for everyone left in the tournament. At table 17, we have Jarred Charles Randolph from Delaware with a True King Dinosaur Deck facing off against Dablessin Wilson, who took 2nd place at YCS Atlanta this year, from Waukegan, Illinois. Wilson has a Pendulum Magician Deck, a popular pick this weekend but Randolph couldn’t have gotten this far without facing a Pendulum Magician Deck, so he’s prepared for the matchup.  It’s time to Duel!

Round 8 Feature Match: Jeff Jones vs. Esala Wathuthantrige

Welcome to the final Swiss Round in Day 1 of YCS Memphis! For this last round, we have 2017 World Championship competitor Esala Wathuthantrige Dueling against Ultimate Duelist and 2-time YCS Champion Jeff Jones! Both of these Duelists have 6-1 records so far in the tournament and are looking for a win to improve their shot at a Top 32 finish tomorrow. The best is facing off against the best in this Round 8 Feature Match. It’s time to Duel!

Round 7 Feature Match: Rashad Jones vs. Brendan Beckmann

Welcome to Round 7! There’s this round and one more before the cut to Day 2. If you’ve been keeping up with our Top Tables updates, you may have noticed a SPYRAL Deck amongst the sea of True Draco, Pendulum Magician and 60-card Zombie Decks. We’ve got that SPYRAL Deck as part of our Feature Match for this round. Rashad Jones from Atlanta, Georgia is currently undefeated with SPYRALs and is at Table 5 facing off against Brendan Beckmann from Denver Colorado who has Pendulum Magicians with him this weekend. Who will still be undefeated going into the final round of Day 1?  It’s time to Duel!

Round 6 Feature Match: Joshua Forbis vs. David Flores

Joshua Forbis from St. Louis, Missouri and David Flores from Houston, Texas are both currently 5-0 here at YCS Memphis! Forbis is using a 60-card Deck packed with Plants, Zombies, Dinosaurs, and more, featuring That Grass Looks Greener! Flores is piloting a more traditional Pendulum Magician Deck. Round 5 Feature Match: Jermaine Leach vs. Turner Brattan

Welcome to Round 5! We’re halfway done with Day 1, and this round’s Feature Match takes us to Table 71 where Jermaine Leach from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has an ABC Deck that heavily features Cyber Dragon support cards like Cyber Dragon Core and Cyber Repair Plant. His opponent is Turner Brattan from New Jersey with a True Draco Deck. They’re both 3-1 at the moment, but that won’t be the case after this match. it’s time to Duel!

Round 4 Feature Match: Johnny Nguyen vs. Garcia Ruiz

Our Round 4 Feature Match has 2 Duelists who are currently 4-0. Johnny Nguyen from Wichita, Kansas has Mekk-Knight Invoked, a strategy based around using Invoked Mechaba to great effect, negating the opponent’s key cards while using the Mekk-Knights to keep cards on the field and in the hand. His opponent is Aldo Andre Garcia Ruiz from Waukegen, Illinois. He has a Pendulum Magician Deck which is a popular pick in the tournament so far. Who gets to keep their undefeated record?  It’s time to Duel!

Round 3 Feature Match: Aaron Furman vs. Azad Deihim

Aaron Furman from New Jersey entered this weekend’s Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series with a 2-Round Bye thanks to his title of Ultimate Duelist! Furman won the UDS Invitational in Chicago in 2016, entitling him to two free wins in every Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series he enters. Now, in Round 3, he’s sitting down to Duel for the first time this weekend. His opponent is Azad Deihim from Boston. Furman is using Pendulum Magicians, while Deihim is using Mekk-Knights. It’s time to Duel!

Round 2 Feature Match: Travis Tackett vs. Corey Rogers

Travis Tackett from Knoxville, Tennessee is Dueling against Corey Rogers from Columbus, Ohio in our Round 2 Feature Match! Tackett is using a Mermail Deck – but it’s not a typical Mermail Deck. He’s packing a bunch of “Nimble” monsters. Tackett uses 3 copies of Nimble Angler, a Nimble Beaver, and a Nimble Manta in his Deck. He can use the effect of his Angler if he discards it to play Mermail Abyssmegalo or Swap Frog, and then can swarm the field with WATER monsters that can be used to perform a Link Summon. Rogers is using a more traditional Pendulum Magician Deck in this weekend’s tournament. Which duelist will prevail? We’re about to find out. It’s time to Duel!

Our Round 2 Feature Match includes an old favorite with some new tricks. Anti-Spell Fragrance is a big part of the competitive scene and fits in with numerous strategies, but one of those strategies that’s been overlooked is Paleozoic. The Deck has done well in the past and Edgar Gonzalez from Atlanta, Georgia has his Paleozoic Deck with him today with Main Decked Anti-Spell Fragrances while his opponent, William Hunter Sullivan from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, has a 60-card Lightsworn-Zombie Deck. Round 1 Feature Match: Bryan Bernardi vs. Michael Tinga

Bryan Bernardi from Weirton, West Virginia is Dueling against Michael Tinga from Winston Salem, North Carolina! Tinga owns an Official Tournament Store, Card Stop Gaming, in his home town, and he’s here to show everyone what Duelists from his store can do! This is the first event in years that Tinga is competing in, and he’s putting his trust in the True Dracos to carry him through the tournament. But Bernardi is using an Infernoid Deck bolstered by Structure Deck: Lair of Darkness. Using the Lair of Darkness Field Spell Card, he can Tribute his opponent’s monsters with his Infernoids. Will that give him the edge in this Duel? We’re about to find out. It’s time to Duel!
