Corbin Diez from Layton, Utah is a big fan of Zigfried von Schroeder and his Valkyrie cards, and decided to use them in this weekend’s prestigious North America Championship event. Diez’s Deck ultimately aims to win by resolving Ride of the Valkyries and defeating his opponent with his Valkyrie monsters combined with Mischief of the Time Goddess. Diez uses Mystic Mine to help prolong the Duel until he can use Ride of The Valkyries effectively, and plays lots of cards that support it. Team Leon had quite the weekend! They piloted three separate Decks that use three distinct strategies to a second-place finish here at Team YCS Las Vegas. Take a look at the Decks they used to reach this achievement!

We’re just finishing Round 8, and Team X-3 Drop has gone X-3 and dropped. Still a strong finish though, and Brice Babcock is the only person here playing Six Samurai! Here’s a look at his Deck.

We’re in Day 2, and Team Scuba Diving for Scooby Snax has just finished with a 5-3 record. The team is made of friends Karl Jiang, Kesavan Kushalnagar, and Ryan Pasnik. Kushalnagar lives in San Francisco while Jiang and Pasnik live in New York, but they’ve made the trip here for the YCS to team up. Pasnik is using a WATER Deck today, featuring a mix of Mermail, Atlantean, and Frog cards that offer a variety of combos via the Extra Deck. Take a look!

Round 6 just started, and team Not Evenly Trying is undefeated! Team members Nathaniel Jadotte and Eric Francis are playing Salamangreats and Subterrors, respectively. Emmanuel Rayford is playing a Danger! Blue-Eyes Deck. Check it out!
