He doesn’t want to miss out on the belt twice, but his opponent is no pushover. Shunping Xu from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania won YCS Pasadena in 2018 and started this tournament 10-0, taking only two losses via immediate concessions in Rounds 11 and 12 once his record was strong enough to ensure a playoff appearance. Both players are immensely talented but only one can walk away with the championship title belt. Who will be the Ultimate Duelist? For the final time this weekend… it’s time to Duel!
It all comes down to this!
This is it. Ramiro Garcia from Dallas, Texas is Dueling against Raphael Neven from the Netherlands in a Match that will determine who wins the YCS. Neven is a 2-time YCS Champion, and although Garcia only has 1 YCS win, that victory was a mere week ago at YCS Guadalajara with the same type of Deck he’s using today! It’s Garcia’s Lunalight Orcust Deck against Neven’s pure Orcust Deck. Let’s Duel!
Read more…It all comes down to this! YCS Guadalajara started with 788 Duelists from all around the world, and now we’re down to just 2! Ramiro Garcia from the United States placed 20th after Swiss and has Danger! Lunalight Orcust, a Deck growing in popularity over the last couple of weeks with its ability to reuse Lunalight Tiger’s effect to Special Summon a Lunalight from the Graveyard multiple times per turn to generate some powerful combos. His opponent is Jonhathan Sebastian Vazquez Herrera who placed 14th after Swiss and has Sky Striker, a Deck that has proven to adapt to its surroundings and stay competitive in the right hands. Only one of these Duelists will walk away with an Ultra Rare version of the YCS Prize Card Duel Link Dragon, the Duel Dragon and the title of YCS Champion. Who will it be? For the final time this weekend, it’s time to Duel!
And it all comes down to this! David Mendoza from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania ended the Swiss rounds in 9th place and has a Deck with Danger! monsters and Danger! support cards like Danger! Zone and Danger! Response Team! along with Gizmek Orochi, the Serpentron Sky Slasher and Gren Maju Da Eiza, while his opponent, Clifton Land II from Kentucky entered the playoffs as the 2nd seed with Lunalight Orcust, a combo Deck capable of setting up Summon Limit backed by Knightmare Gryphon locking down Monster effects. The winner will take home an Ultra Rare version of the YCS Prize Card Duel Link Dragon, the Duel Dragon, but whatever happens here will certainly be one for the books! Either Lunalight Orcust will take its first YCS win in North America, or Gren Maju Da Eiza will take the win after taking second place at YCS Portland just a few weeks ago. For the final time this weekend, it’s time to Duel!
Only two Duelists remain! Who will come out on top?
These Duelists have surpassed 799 others to get this far. Two days and fifteen rounds of Dueling. But only one YCS Champion! Yishan McNabb’s Golden Castle of Stromberg + Gren Maju Da Eiza Deck is the talk of the tournament. Call him the Cinderella man because this fairy tale journey seems like a fantasy. His opponent is Brian Chen, playing a Sky Striker Deck. His Deck recently saw some changes due to the newest F&L List, and he’s here to prove that he can still compete with it. The Duelists are ready. It’s time to Duel!
