We’re down to the Quarterfinals of YCS Salt Lake City! Ayinde Ross is the last Dinosaur Duelist left in the tournament. He’s using the new form of Dinosaurs which plays more like a combo Deck, mixing with a variety of Zombie and other cards to be able to make some huge opening plays. He’s up against Elvis Vu, one of the True Draco Duelists left in the tournament. Vu just won his Feature Match a few rounds ago, but can he do it again? It’s time to Duel!

Wind-Ups and Geargia are two of the most successful Decks in this tournament, and they’re going head to head here in the Quarterfinals! This is Sorosh Saberian’s fifth appearance in the playoffs of a YCS, but he’s never won one. He’s playing Wind-Ups, Jordan Koruntoff is running Geargias. Both of these Duelists are from right here in Toronto, but only one could proceed to the Top 4!

With 6 different Deck types, the Top 8 for this tournament is nothing short of incredible! Not only were Dark World and Piper Chaos still in contention, but this Match would see Joseph Giorlando’s Skill Drain Elemental HEROes up against the slickest Wind-Up variant in the tournament; Wilson Tsang’s Beastly Wind-Ups, armed with Ape Fighter, Photon Saber Tiger, and Horn of the Phantom Beast! This one was anybody’s game, but Skill Drain could certainly prove to be a deciding factor in Giorlando’s favor.
