Over 2600 Duelists have been reduced to just the Top 64! Here from Puerto Rico is Derek Ignacio Hernandez Tollinchi, the sole Tearlaments Duelist in the Top 64! He’s facing Marshall Emery Demorest III, from Connecticut, using Fiendsmith Yubel!
Top 8 is about to commence, and we have 2 familiar faces squaring off in the Quarter-Finals: Justin Singh and Christopher LeBlanc are both familiar with the Top Cut spotlight, and have Dueled at the YCS level before. LeBlanc is pilotingPurrely, a Deck he’s been using since YCS Philadelphia, while Singh is on Tearlaments, powered up with the new Horus monsters from Age of Overlord. They’re ready to go, and it’s time to Duel!
Day 2’s kicking off here on Sunday morning, and Jerrod Dunn from Baltimore is playing Tearlaments, up against Elias Tsirogiannis from Queens, playing Kashtira! You read that right, Kashtira is still alive despite losing Kashtira Arise-Heart on the most recent Forbidden & Limited List. This classic match-up is happening right here at YCS Richmond!
Both Duelists are in great shape to make Top 32 with a win in this Match, while a loss will mean they’ll be dancing with danger. It’s time to Duel!
We’re halfway through Day 1 of YCS Indianapolis, and we have
two undefeated Duelists for this Feature Match. Anthony King is here from Aurora,
CO, and he’s playing Tearlaments. This build is utilizing the new Horus cards
from Age of Overlord, giving even more power out of the Graveyard! He’s
up against Austin Bare, from Peoria, IL. Bare’s using one of the most unique
Decks at the top tables: Trains! This Machine Deck uses Infinitracks, Machina,
and the Rank 10 Trains to put down huge monsters backed by Skill Drain.
For this Round 3 Feature Match, we have YCS Champion Shunping Xu, from Philadelphia, PA, playing Shaddoll Tearlaments! His opponent is Caleb Mangin, from Valders, WI, repping the Floowandereeze. Two strategies with very different gameplans, but both renowned for their ability to make a lot of plays on their opponent’s turn.
We’re halfway into Day 1 here at the 250th YCS in
Los Angeles! First up is Cobi Tappa, from Chicago, IL, playing a Deck that
mixes Kashtira, Tearlaments, and Adventure all together. Combining multiple
engines to get the best of all! His opponent is Edgar Barajas, from Torrence,
CA, playing Sprights. The strategy is very much alive even without Spright
Elf, and he’s here to prove it.
