Only one Floowandereeze Duelist is left in the Main Event here at YCS Pasadena, and it’s France’s Baptiste Derouin! He’s facing off against Vincent Wong, from right here in Los Angeles. What makes this Match unique? There are no Ishizu Fairy cards in either Deck.
After 11 grueling rounds of play, we’re finally in the Top 32! We have Team YCS Las Vegas Champion Dominic Couch hailing from Georgia against Carlos Rosario from Puerto Rico! This is his first YCS Top Cut finish and he’s against an absolute titan!
Now that we’re in the Top 32 here at YCS Pasadena, it’s a great time to look at the prizes up for grabs in the YCS Main Event!

Chris LeBlanc won his fourth YCS title just two weeks ago at YCS Minneapolis, and now he’s back, clinging to a shot at the Top 32 here in the final Swiss Round of Day 2! His opponent is in the same situation: precariously perched on the bubble, wondering if even a win is enough to get him a seat in the Top Cut.
Florida’s own Kamal Crooks is facing off against Canada’s Justin Delhon! Both Duelists are familiar names on the YCS circuit, and both are extremely successful: Crooks is a multi-time YCS winner and Delhon has finished in the Top Cut of 9 events himself, still looking for his first win. With a record of 7-2 for both men here at YCS Pasadena, a loss here is the end of their tournament run. It’ll be an exciting match, full of intensity and skillful play.
Day 1 is almost over, and with two more Swiss Rounds tomorrow before the Top Cut, every win is precious! Blake Funderburke is fresh off a big finish at YCS Quito last month, where he took 3rd Place with his teammates Esala Wathuthantrige and Aaron Chase Furman. Funderburke’s three for three in Team YCS events: he made the Top Cuts at Team YCS Atlanta and Team YCS Las Vegas as well. But today he’s on his own, sitting at Table 16 with a 7-1 record, in striking distance of the Top Cut tomorrow.

But his opponent is Johnny Nguyen, also known as YouTube creator aznpersuasion2008, piloting a Runick build that’s been taking down Ishizu Decks all day long! Both of these Duelists are undefeated with a single tie, sitting at Table 10, so this could be a tight Match.
