Organized Play Update: YCS Dragon Duel Championships
Day 1 and Day 2 at YCS weekends each feature a Dragon Duel tournament. But sometimes the Duelist who wins the Saturday Dragon Duel competes on Sunday as well, creating a discouraging environment for some competitors. The Dragon Duel Championships make that more manageable, while escalating competition and bringing more prizes to the Dragon Duel program.
Now, if a competitor at a YCS Dragon Duel wins on Saturday, they can’t compete in the Dragon Duel on Sunday. Instead they’ll earn free entry into the Public Event of their choice on Sunday, on top of the rest of their prizes. They’ll also face the winner of the Sunday Dragon Duel in a best-of-three Match to unite the two tournaments and crown one ultimate victor!
Both Duelists will earn the right to call themselves Dragon Duel Day 1 or Dragon Duel Day 2 Winners, but the victorious Duelist in the big final match will be awarded a trophy, and the title of Dragon Duel Champion for that YCS. Each Champion will then be featured in the new Dragon Duel Hall of Fame page on the official Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG website. Super cool!
