Welcome to YCS Dallas!
Circuit Break is here and Link Monsters are taking center stage!
The new Circuit Break booster pack just released yesterday, and it is anticipated to have a major impact on this weekend’s tournament! While Pendulum Magician, True Draco, and ABC Decks dominated at the Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational – Summer 2017 just a month ago, the advent of Circuit Break is expected to revolutionize the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME. The new SPYRAL Double Helix Link Monster pulls together some of the SPYRAL strategies’ greatest strengths, and opens up new and unexplored combos that overwhelm the field! Many Duelists competing this weekend are trusting their SPYRAL Decks with their dreams of becoming a YCS winner.
Duelists who did not switch their Deck over to SPYRAL to exploit the power of SPYRAL Double Helix are nevertheless taking advantage of powerful new cards in Circuit Break to gain the upper hand. Evenly Matched is expected to be a highly popular card that Duelists can count on to even out the field at the drop of a card, and is expected to be a powerful counter to the new SPYRAL strategy. Cards like Destrudo the Lost Dragon’s Frisson, Borreload Dragon, Akashic Magician, and Number 41: Bagooska the Terribly Tired Tapir are also expected to make a splash on the competitive scene this weekend. Meanwhile, some bold Duelists competing this weekend are testing out new themes introduced in Circuit Break, including Krawlers and Rokkets, while others are using themes improved by Circuit Break, like Trickstars and Goukis. The recent release of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Legendary Dragon Decks on October 6th may also have an impact this weekend, since it made Apprentice Illusion Magician easily accessible to Duelists wielding the Dark Magician, and gave players the brand new Dark Magician the Dragon Knight and Chimeratech Megafleet Dragon to add to their Extra Decks.
1121 Duelists from all over the world have gathered here in the Forth Worth Convention Center to try out their new Decks and take a shot at becoming a YCS winner. But at the end of the weekend, only one Duelist – and one Deck – will prevail.
