Gaskins’s Deck can often throw down a ton of ATK and take out his opponent if he is given just one turn. He uses cards like Artifact Lancea, Anti-Spell Fragrance, Red Reboot, and Abyss Dweller to get those turns. If he can’t win outright, he’ll end with an Evolzar, Abyss Dweller, or Overtex Qoatlus to keep his field safe.
He plays Ash Blossom, D.D. Crow, Diamond Dire Wolf, and Cyber Dragon with the two Chimeratech Fusion Monsters as ways to take out an opponent’s card while also getting a non-Dinosaur in the Graveyard for Double Evolution Pill.
Lost World is a card that didn’t see play in Dinosaur Decks until somewhat recently. Its ability to protect your monsters by giving away a Juraegg Token is quite powerful, and keeping that Token on the field by destroying Dinos from your Deck is even better. Gaskins seemed particularly fond of the interaction with Pentestag. By having Pentestag linked to Ultimate Conductor Tyranno, you can pierce the Juraegg Token for 3500 damage, but use Lost World to protect the token. You get to fill your Graveyard and keep the token in play for Lost World’s effect to linger.
Gaskins said Sky Striker is his worst matchup, so his Side Deck is heavily skewed to that matchup. If he could go back he said he would drop the Ghost Ogres and put in 2 copies of Droll & Lock Bird.
