Welcome to YCS Ft. Worth, Texas!

The Ft. Worth Convention Center is bustling with Duelists, each preparing to become the next YCS Champion and win that Ultra Rare Duel Link Dragon, the Duel Dragon! There are 1341 Duelists registered for the Main Event, so we’ll have 11 Swiss Rounds followed by a cut to the Top 32.

Last week we saw Ramiro Garcia win YCS Guadalajara with a Danger! Lunalight Orcust strategy. The week before that, David Mendoza won YCS Niagra Falls with Danger! Gren Maju. While they both use Danger! monsters, they have a very different game plan. Will we see a third Deck take this weekend’s event?
The field is finally settling after the releases of new cards in the 2019 Gold Sarcophagus Tins. The best Duelists are the ones utilizing the new cards to their fullest, and adapting to powerful cards like Nibiru, the Primal Being and Dark Ruler No More. With that in mind, we should see some more refined and practiced strategies make it to Day 2. However, we also just saw the release of Legendary Duelists: Immortal Destiny, so we could see Duelists using the revamped strategies therein. Finally, this will be the last YCS before the release of Chaos Impact causes some, well, impactful chaos, so it’s exciting to see which Decks succeed this weekend before things get shaken up once more.

Round 1 is about to begin! It’s time to Duel!
