There are literally hundreds of tournaments going on this weekend here at the 2022 North America Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Championship, and a lot of them are big deal events, but none of them are quite as prestigious as the main event.

An invite-only tournament loaded with a roster of hundreds of expert Duelists, the field is stacked with talent! The level of competition alone would make this a standout in the Yu-Gi-Oh! landscape, but let’s be honest: part of the reason this tournament’s so high profile is the prizes. This is one of the richest prize pools we’ve ever seen for a Yu-Gi-Oh! tournament of this caliber, with more Game Mats, more special swag, and more exclusive rewards you won’t find anywhere else.

So what’s up for grabs in the main event? Let’s run it all back and take a look.

Just for earning their invite and competing here this weekend, all Duelists participating in the 2022 North America Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Championship earned a Nibiru, the Primal Being Game Mat and TCG Championship card sleeves. Check ’em out!

The participation prizes are spectacular this year, but it only gets better from there!

Here in Day 2 the field will narrow to a cut to Top 64, and all competitors who make it to the knockout rounds will receive this stunning Game Mat featuring one of the biggest cards of the year, Rite of Aramesir! The standout staple from The Grand Creators, Rite’s been a huge factor here in the TCG Championship, and it’s a fitting choice for the Top Cut mat.

But it’s not the only Game Mat reserved for Top Cut finishers!

Top 32 is where the stakes really get raised. Just one Match win in the Top 64 gets you four extra prizes: a Super Rare Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Prize Card: Duel Link Dragon, the Duel Dragon; Championship Sleeves reserved for Top 32 finishers and above; a Crystal Card featuring Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning; and a Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning Championship Game Mat. 

The Envoy swag isn’t here on-site, but it’ll be mailed to those distinguished Duelists who make it to the Top 32 after the weekend’s over. This is the first time ever that a territory Championship has awarded two different exclusive Game Mats for Top Cut finishers.

Make it to the Top 16 and the prizes keep stacking up: Top 16 finishers will receive everything mentioned so far, plus a complete set of Dimension Force (minus Starlight Rares) and booster packs from sets like Dawn of Majesty, Burst of Destiny, and Battle of Chaos.

Make it to the Top 8 and here come the trophies! Every Duelist who finishes Top 8 or above receives some variant of these gorgeous Millennium Puzzle trophies, featuring a 3D laser engraved sphere encapsulating Yugi’s signature Millennium Item. These trophies are rad: like previous years, they feature light-up LED bases that make the entire trophy glow with the brilliance of victory. Always cool. But the territorial Championship trophies have never featured the Millennium Puzzle before, and it’s an awesome new feature to make these keepsakes truly unique.

The Top 8 also walk away with a complete set of Battle of Chaos minus Starlight Rares, and a Championship Card Case to match those sleeves. Plus they’ll score a Nintendo® Switch system and custom Switch case, with download codes for Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution and Yu-Gi-Oh! RUSH DUEL: Dawn of the Battle Royale!! They also get a Championship Card Case that matches those sleeves, exclusive to the Top 8! Oh, and more booster packs.

Top 4 gets the same royal treatment, plus a Crystal Card featuring Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning and even more booster Packs than Top 8. Once you’ve made it to the Top 4 it’s all about glory and bragging rights. I mean, sure, 2nd Place gets an even bigger pile of packs on top of everything else. And 1st Place gets even more than that. But it’s really about the Trophies. 

The 1st Place trophy is a stunning obelisk of hewn crystal commemorating the winner as a true King of Games. It’s by far one of the most beautiful trophies ever awarded at a tournament of this level, and a true treasure for the one Duelist who’s skilled enough, smart enough, and lucky enough to make it their own this weekend.
