TEAM YCS Las Vegas – Our Favorite Team Names

March 15th, 2025

TEAM YCS Las Vegas gives Duelists from around the world the opportunity to not just travel together, but also compete together. Each team of 3 Duelists gets to decide on a name for their team, and our written coverage team went through the list and picked out our favorites. Here they are!

(1.) Team Delinquent Duo Drives

Dawson Boger, George Babamirza, and Aldo Lazaro joined together to form Team Delinquent Duo Drives this weekend. Undoubtedly a reference to the infamous Delinquent Duo Spell Card, as well as the ever-popular Ryzeal Duo Drive, we have to wonder if at least one of these Duelists is using a Ryzeal Deck.

(2.) Team Bagooska’s Lost Art Please

Andre Mroz, Connor Maguire, and Owen Pritchard joined together to form Team Bagooska’s Lost Art Please. It’s a very straightforward name with a very specific request. It sounds like the players on this team would like to see a Lost Art version of Number 41: Bagooska the Terribly Tired Tapir.

(3.) Team The Men with the Mark

You’ve heard of The Man with the Mark from the new Maze of the Master booster set, but how about The Men with the Mark? That’s the team comprising of Anderson Matos, Patrick McGrath, and Bradley Peters.

(4.) Team Wave High King Caesar’s Palace

What if D/D/D Wave High King Caesar had a palace? That’s the imaginative thought that Vincent Wang, Julien Lin, and Wilson Wang had. Team Wave High King Caesar’s Palace fits in perfectly here at YCS Las Vegas.

(5.) Team We Set 5 Pass Patrol

They might be giving their strategy away. Brenden Coli, Brian Peterson, and Hans Lundquist named their team after everyone’s favorite opening play: Set 5, pass.

(6.) Team A Bao 2 Qu(ties)

You probably know A Bao A Qu, the Lightless Shadow. Team A Bao 2 Qu(ties) is a clever spin on this powerful new Link Monster. That’s the name that Kamen Myers, Bao Ha, and Reid Gubler chose for their team.

(7.) Team The Pot of Greed Explainers

If you ever need to know what Pot of Greed does, just ask Steven Lopez, Kitt Valoa, and Antonio Lopez. These members of Team The Pot of Greed Explainers will be happy to tell you.

(8.) Team Maxx “Steve”

You’ve heard of Maxx “C”, but when you max out on the number of Steves on your team, you get Team Maxx “Steve”. Steven Rodriguez, Steven Darling, and Steven Kangas teamed up to form Team Maxx “Steve” this weekend.

There are lots of clever team names in TEAM YCS Las Vegas. Follow the coverage to see which ones make it to Day 2!
