In this Round 6 Feature Match, we have two Duelists playing Decks that have proven to be popular all weekend long. William Mac Avoy Holmes is playing the Kewl Tune Deck, which has proven to be a strong contender over the last several months. On the other hand, Jeremy Bennett Davis is playing the Blitzclique Deck, which aims to swarm the field with Thunder-type monsters! However, Davis has chosen to include Ryzeal cards in his Deck, with Ryzeal Detonator giving him an additional way to destroy cards on the field. Each of these Duelists is carrying an impressive 5-0 record. Let’s find out which Duelist will have keep their undefeated record in tact!

Duel 1

Holmes won the die roll and chose to go first! He opened with Effect Veiler, Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit, Duelist Genesis, Fydraulis Harmonia, and Kewl Tune Clip. He Normal Summoned Clip, and Davis activated the effect of Mulcharmy Fuwalos! Holmes then activated Duelist Genesis, searching for Kewl Tune Synchro, then activated it to search for Kewl Tune Rotary. From here, he activated the effect of Rotary, revealing Ghost Ogre in his hand, then Normal Summoned the Rotary. He used Rotary and Ogre to Synchro Summon Kewl Tune Track Maker, then used the effects of Rotary and Track Maker to look at Davis’ hand and search for both Kewl Tune Synchro and JJ “Kewl Tune”. Holmes activated JJ, then used its effect, Tributing Kewl Tune Clip and searching for Kewl Tune Reco. He used his additional Normal Summon to bring out Reco, Set a card to his backrow, and ended his turn. 

Davis began his turn by activating the effect of Mulcharmy Fuwalos! He started by activating the effect of Grain Blitzclique. Holmes Chained Kewl Tune Synchro to search for Kewl Tune Mix, then used Mix and Reco to Synchro Summon Kewl Tune Remix, as Davis Special Summoned Grain. On resolution, Holmes used the effect of Mix to destroy Grain. Next, Davis activated the effect of Whisker Blitzclique, and Holmes Chained the effect of Remix! Holmes Special Summoned Kewl Tune Reco and added Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit to hand, then used Reco and Track Maker to Synchro Summon Zalen the Shackled Dragon, as Davis resolved Whisker’s effect to Special Summon it, Grain Blitzclique, and Surge Blitzclique from hand and destroy Holmes’ JJ and Zalen. Davis activated the effects of Grain and Surge; Holmes Chained the effect of Effect Veiler, negating Surge’s effect, but Davis was able to resolve Grain’s effect to search for Hideout in the Sky, Coulomb. He activated Coulomb, then Normal Summoned Sword Ryzeal, but when he activated its effect, Holmes activated the effect of Fydraulis Harmonia! Holmes Special Summoned the Harmonia, sent Golden Cloud Beast – Malong to the Graveyard, and destroyed Whisker, as Holmes resolved Sword’s effect to search for Ext Ryzeal. In a new Chain, Holmes used the effect of Malong to return Surge to Davis’ hand. Davis activated the effect of Coulomb, but Holmes Chained the effect of Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit, destroying Coulomb before it could resolve! Davis Special Summoned Surge and destroyed Holmes’ Harmonia and added Coulomb back to hand. Finally, he attacked Holmes’ Life Points directly with all three of his monsters and ended his turn. 

Holmes drew a card, Set it to his backrow, then ended his turn. 

Davis Special Summoned Ext Ryzeal from hand by sending Vallon, the Super Psy Skyblaster to the Graveyard. He activated Vallon’s effect, targeting Holmes’ face-down card, and Holmes Chained Infinite Impermanence, negating the effect of Ext. However, with no cards on his side of the field or in his hand, Holmes conceded.

Duel 2

Holmes chose to go first once again! During the Standby Phase, Davis activated the effect of Mulcharmy Purulia. Holmes started things off by Normal Summoning Kewl Tune Cue and activating its effect; Davis activated the effect of Crackle Blitzclique, targeting the Cue, but Holmes Chained Kewl Tune Synchro, searching for Kewl Tune Rotary and using Rotary and Cue to Synchro Summon Kewl Tune Track Maker. He resolved Cue’s effect to Special Summon Reco, then he resolved his Kewl Tune monster effects to look at Davis’ hand, as well as search for Kewl Tune Synchro, Kewl Tune Mix, and JJ “Kewl Tune”, then banish Hideout in the Sky, Coulomb and return Mulcharmy Fuwalos to the bottom of Davis’ Deck. Holmes activated JJ, then used its effect to Tribute Reco and Special Summon Kewl Tune Mix from the Deck, then added Reco back to hand. He used Reco and Mix to Synchro Summon Kewl Tune Remix, Set two cards to his backrow, and ended his turn. 

Davis began by sending Vallon, the Super Psy Skyblaster to the Graveyard to search for Ext Ryzeal! Holmes activated the targeted Infinite Impermanence as Chain Link 3, and negated Ext’s effect. Next, Davis Normal Summoned Ice Ryzeal and activated its effect. Holmes Chained Kewl Tune Synchro, searching for Kewl Tune Reco, then used Track Maker and Mix to Synchro Summon Kewl Tune Loudness War, as Davis Special Summoned Sword Ryzeal from the Deck. Davis activated the effect of Sword to search for another copy of Ice Ryzeal, as Holmes used the effect of Track Maker to return Ext to the hand, as well as Mix’s effect to destroy Ice Ryzeal. Davis Special Summoned Ice Ryzeal by sending Crackle Blitzclique to the Graveyard; here, Holmes activated the effect of Kewl Tune Clip, Special Summoning it, then using Clip and Reco to Synchro Summon Kewl Tune RS. Next, Davis activated the effect of Surge Blitzclique, targeting Holmes’ Loudness War. Holmes Chained the effect of Kewl Tune Remix, Special Summoning Reco and adding Cue back to hand, then using the two to Synchro Summon a second copy of Kewl Tune Loudness War! With two Loudness War on the field, Davis was unable to resolve the effect of Surge, so Davis ended his turn. 

Holmes drew another copy of Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit for turn! He Normal Summoned Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit, then activated the effect of JJ, Tributing Ogre to search for Kewl Tune Cue. Seeing that Holmes had more than enough monsters on the board to wipe out Davis’ Life Points, Davis conceded, and we’re moving on to game three!

Duel 3

Davis chose to go first in the third Duel! He Normal Summoned Ice Ryzeal and activated its effect, but Holmes Chained the effect of Fydraulis Harmonia! Holmes Special Summoned Harmonia, destroyed Ice, and sent Enigmaster Packbit to the Graveyard as Davis Special Summoned Sword Ryzeal. Holmes used the effect of Packbit to place Sword in the Spell/Trap Zone, as Davis used Sword’s effect to search for Ext Ryzeal! Davis Special Summoned Ext by sending Mereologic Aggregator to the Graveyard, Special Summoned another Sword from hand, then used Sword and Ext to Xyz Summon Ryzeal Detonator and attach it with Aggregator from the Graveyard. From there, Davis activated the effect of Surge Blitzclique, destroying Holmes’ Harmonia and Special Summoning it. He then activated the effect of Whisker Blitzclique, Special Summoning it and destroying the Sword in his Spell/Trap Zone. However, when he activated Surge’s effect, it was met by Holmes’ Effect Veiler! Davis then ended his turn. 

Holmes opened with Duelist Genesis, Kewl Tune Synchro, and Kewl Tune Reco in hand, then drew another Effect Veiler for turn! He activated Duelist Genesis and searched for Synchro Overtake, as Davis used the effect of Detonator to destroy Genesis. This allowed him to activate the effect of Surge Blitzclique to search for another copy of Whisker Blitzclique. Holmes then activated Synchro Overtake and Special Summoned Kewl Tune Reco from the Deck, but when he activated its effect, Davis Chained the effect of Whisker, returning Surge to his hand to negate Reco’s effect. However, Holmes activated Kewl Tune Synchro as Chain Link 3, searching for Kewl Tune Cue, then using Reco and Veiler to Synchro Summon Track Maker! In the following Chain, Holmes activated the effect of Kewl Tune Track Maker to search for Kewl Tune Synchro, as Davis used the effect of Detonator to destroy Track Maker. Next, Holmes Normal Summoned Kewl Tune Cue and activated Kewl Tune Synchro, searching for Kewl Tune Rotary and using the two monsters to Synchro Summon another Kewl Tune Track Maker! He used Rotary’s effect to search for JJ “Kewl Tune”, then activated JJ and used its effect, Tributing Track Maker, Special Summoning Kewl Tune Mix, and adding Reco back to hand. He used the Mix and Reco to Synchro Summon Kewl Tune Remix and used the effect of Mix to destroy Whisker, then ended his turn. 

In the Draw Phase, Holmes activated the effect of Remix, Special Summoning Reco and adding Effect Veiler back from the Graveyard, then used Reco’s effect to add Rotary back to hand. Davis then activated the effect of Surge Blitzclique, destroying Reco and then Special Summoning it. Finally, Davis activated the effect of Whisker Blitzclique, Special Summoning three monsters from his hand. With those, Davis had more than enough monsters to wipe out the rest of Holmes’ Life Points, so Holmes conceded. 

Davis earns the victory in this round and improves to an impressive 6-0 record!
