Dragon Duel Championship Round 5 Feature Match: Simon B. vs. Lee H.
We’re back with more of the Dragon Duel Championship! Simon B. is here from Ohio, and has brought Tellarknights to the competition! He’s facing Lee H., from Wisconsin, using Kewl Tune!
Duel 1
Lee won the dice roll and played first. Simon had a hand of Satellarknight Skybridge, Stellarnova Binding, Tellarknight Altairan, Constellar Pollux, and Droll & Lock Bird.
Lee used Kewl Tune Rotary’s effect, revealing Kewl Tune Cue to Normal Summon Cue. Cue brought Kewl Tune Reco to the field. Reco put Kewl Tune Mix in his hand, and Simon activated Droll & Lock Bird. Lee used Cue and Mix to Synchro Summon Kewl Tune Remix. He Normal Summoned another Cue, using it with Rotary for Kewl Tune Track Maker. Cue’s effect let him banish Castor from Simon’s Deck, leaving a useless Droll & Lock Bird on top of the Deck. Rotary let him peruse Simon’s hand, but he couldn’t add a card to his own hand due to the Droll effect. He used Reco and Track Maker to play Zalen the Shackled Dragon. He Set one back row card to finish.

Simon drew Droll & Lock Bird. He Normal Summoned Pollux, and he used his extra Normal Summon for Altairan. Lee used Remix’s effect to get two Tuners back, and Synchro Summoned Kewl Tune RS. Simon responded with Skybridge, and Lee flipped Kewl Tune Synchro, then negated Skybridge with Zalen. Simon played Binding, and Lee negated that with RS.
Lee used Rotary’s effect to Normal Summon Cue, which brought Reco to the field. Reco put Mix in his hand, and Simon used Droll & Lock Bird. Lee Synchro Summoned another RS, then brought down Kewl Tune B2B! With two copies of RS and everything attacking twice, he had more than enough to end the first Duel!

Duel 2
Simon began this time with Seventh Tachyon, Forbidden Droplet, Tellarknight Cygnian, Constellar Caduceus, and Constellar Pollux. He Normal Summoned Pollux, then Normal Summoned Cygnian. Lee used Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit to destroy Cygnian, but Cygnian’s effect still put Constellar Castor in his hand. He Special Summoned Caduceus, which got Constellar Tellarknights in his hand. He used that to Special Summon Castor, which brought Cygnian to the field. He used Cygnian and Castor to Xyz Summon Tellarknight Constellar Delteros! He used its effect to add Altairan to his hand and Normal Summon it. He stacked Altairan and Pollux for Tellarknight Constellar Caduceus, and put Castor back in his hand. Then he used its effect to Special Summon Tellarknight Lyran. Altairan came back to the field, and he added Skybridge to his hand with Lyran. He played Skybridge to tag Lyran out for Stellarknight Altair, which let him Special Summon Cygnian. He used Cygnian and Caduceus to Xyz Summon Constellar Pleiades. Altair and Altairan let him play Tellarknight Ptolemaeus. He ranked up his Tellarknight Constellar Caduceus for Constellar Ptolemy M7, and then used that for Exstellarknight Constellar Ptolemy Ω7! He Set Droplet.
Lee started with Pot of Sloth, and Ptolemy Ω7 negated it (thanks to Castor’s effect). Lee played Illusion Gate! He paid half his Life Points to wipe out all of Simon’s monsters, and even stole the Ptolemy Ω7! He Normal Summoned Cue, and Simon used Droplet to send Constellar Tellarknights to the Graveyard and negate Cue. Simon attacked with both monsters.
Simon drew Lyran. He Normal Summoned Cygnian, then Special Summoned Lyran. With their effects he added Caduceus and Skybridge to his hand. He Xyz Summoned Tellarknight Constellar Delteros. He used its effect to add Castor to his hand and Normal Summon it. Castor brought Cygnian to the field. He Special Summoned Caduceus from his hand, then tried to Special Summon Altairan from his Graveyard – Lee had Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion to negate Altairan. Simon used Caduceus’s effect to add Constellar Tellarknights to his hand. He played it to Special Summon Altair, which brought Altairan back to the field. Altairan’s effect destroyed Ptolemy Ω7. He now had more than enough to attack and even the score!

Duel 3
Simon began the final Duel with a hand of Mulcharmy Purulia, Mulcharmy Fuwalos, Cygnian, Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit, and Contact “C”. In the Draw Phase, he used Purulia’s effect, and Lee responded with Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring.
Lee Normal Summoned Cue, and Simon used Fuwalos. Lee Special Summoned Mix – from his hand to deny the Fuwalos draw. He activated Mix’s effect, and Simon responded with Contact “C”! The troublesome bug was handed over to Lee, and Mix’s effect put Reco in Lee’s hand. He passed the turn.

Simon drew Pollux. He Normal Summoned it, and Lee tried using Effect Veiler. Unfortunately, Pollux’s effect applies the moment it hits the field, making cards like Effect Veiler too slow for it. Simon was still able to Normal Summon Cygnian, which put Caduceus in his hand. He Xyz Summoned Tellarknight Constellar Delteros, using its effect to add Altairan to his hand and Normal Summon it. He Special Summoned Caduceus, which put Constellar Tellarknights in his hand. He Xyz Summoned Tellarknight Constellar Caduceus. He used its two effects to add Altairan back to his hand, and Special Summon Lyran. Lyran’s effect added Skybridge to his hand. He used Altairan to destroy both of Lee’s monsters. Skybridge let him tag Lyran out for Altair, which brought Cygnian back to the field. He used Cygnian and Altair to Xyz Summon Pleiades, which returned Contact “C” to Simon’s hand. He played Constellar Tellarknights to revive Cygnian, stacking it with Altairan for Constellar Omega. He used Caduceus to bring in Ptolemy M7, then ranked it up into Ptolemy Ω7! He sent everything to end the Match!

Simon B. is your victor, with Tellarknights!
