Welcome back for yet another Feature Match, with two Duelists moments away from the World Championship! Hisam Jawhari, a New Orleans Duelist and YCS Champion, is facing Luka Kovac, here from Toronto, in a Kewl Tune mirror Match. These are two of the remaining eight Duelists, but only the top two will qualify for the World Championship!

Duel 1

Jawhari started with a hand of Dominus Purge, Effect Veiler, Kewl Tune Synchro, and two copies of Kewl Tune Rotary.

In the Draw Phase, Jawhari played Kewl Tune Synchro, and Kovac had Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring to negate it. Jawhari Set Dominus Purge and passed the turn.

Kovac began his turn with Synchro Overtake, prompting Jawhari to flip up Purge. Kovac Normal Summoned Kewl Tune Cue, and it was hit by Jawhari’s Effect Veiler. Kovac used the effect of Rotary in his hand, and Jawhari conceded! He’d run out of disruption, and knew Kovac was about to put together an insurmountable field from this position.

Duel 2

Jawhari started this time with a hand of Kewl Tune Cue, Mannadium Reframing, Kewl Tune Clip, Kewl Tune Reco, and Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring.

Kovac activated Mulcharmy Purulia at the start of the turn, and Jawhari negated it with Ash Blossom. He Normal Summoned Reco, and Kovac negated it with Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion. Jawhari tuned Reco to the Clip in his hand for Kewl Tune RS, randomly banishing Wind Pegasus @Ignister from Kovac’s Extra Deck with Clip’s effect. Jawhari Set Reframing.

Kovac simply Set a Spell or Trap.

Jawhari drew Dominus Purge. He attacked with RS, and Set Purge.

Kovac passed the turn with no play.

Jawhari drew Kewl Tune Synchro. He Normal Summoned Cue, and Kovac negated it with Ghost Belle. Then, Kovac flipped up Super Polymerization! He discarded a Purulia to fuse Jawhari’s monsters into Sea Monster of Theseus!

Kovac attacked with his Sea Monster and passed.

Jawhari drew Veiler. In the Draw Phase he used Kewl Tune Synchro, but Kovac had Ash Blossom.

Kovac Normal Summoned Kewl Tune Mix, and Jawhari used his Effect Veiler. Kovac attacked with both of his monsters.

Jawhari drew Cue, and it was negated by Kovac’s own Effect Veiler. Cue attacked over Kovac’s Mix.

Kovac sent Sea Monster of Theseus to destroy Cue.

Jawhari drew Dominus Spark and Set it.

On Kovac’s turn, Spark banished Theseus.

Jawhari drew and Set Dominus Purge.

Kovac passed.

Jawhari drew Kewl Tune Synchro and played it, and it was hit by Ash Blossom once more.

Kovac passed.

Jawhari drew Mix and Normal Summoned it, and Kovac had another Effect Veiler. Mix attacked directly.

Kovac used Rotary’s effect, revealing another Ash Blossom to Normal Summon the Rotary. He then tuned it to the Ash Blossom in his hand for Kewl Tune Track Maker. Rotary put Jawhari’s Effect Veiler from the Graveyard on the bottom of his Deck, and Track Maker put Cue in Kovac’s hand. He Normal Summoned Cue, and its effect brought Reco to the field. He tried using Reco’s effect, and Jawhari negated and destroyed it with Dominus Purge. Kovac tuned Cue to Track Maker for Zalen the Shackled Dragon! Cue let him control Jawhari’s next draw, but it didn’t matter – Zalen attacked directly to end the Match!
