When Ryan Yu won the 2026 North America World Championship Qualifier with his Sky Striker Deck without losing a single Match in the tournament, he shocked the Dueling world. Now, Marko Milovic from Windsor, Ontario is Dueling with Sky Strikers here at YCS Montréal, looking to replicate Ryan Yu’s success. He’s facing off against local Duelist Yacine Sahli from Montréal in this Round 7 Feature Match! Yacine is using a Deck built around Light and Darkness Ritual from Chaos Origins, which also includes various Azamina cards to improve the Deck’s consistency. Both Duelists currently have 5-1 records, but only one of them can advance into the final Swiss Round of the day with a 6-1 record. It’s time to Duel!

Duel One

Sahli started off Duel 1 by activating the effect of Griffoh in the Draw Phase to Set Mind Shuffle from his Deck.

He flipped it up and activated its effect, but lost out to Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. He entered his Main Phase and then activated Ragged Records of Rites. He revealed Light and Darkness Ritual from his Deck and added Skull Archfiend of Chaos from his Deck to his hand. He Special Summoned it from his hand by returning both cards in his Graveyard, and the Ash Blossom in Milovic’s Graveyard, to the bottom of the Deck. Next, he Normal Summoned Mulcharmy Fuwalos. He sent Skull Archfiend and Fuwalos to the Graveyard to Link Summon Cross-Sheep and then activated the effect of the Skull Archfiend that he sent to the Graveyard. He sent Light and Darkness Ritual from his Deck to the Graveyard and added Magician of Dark Chaos – Black Chaos from his Deck to his hand. He activated the effect of Light and Darkness Ritual in his Graveyard next, returning it to his hand along with the Skull Archfiend in his Graveyard. He activated Light and Darkness Ritual and Tributed a Fuwalos from his hand, plus banished a Fuwalos from his Graveyard, to Summon Magician of Dark Chaos – Black Chaos linked to Cross-Sheep. He activated the effect of Cross-Sheep and Chained the effect of Magician of Dark Chaos – Black Chaos. He returned Light and Darkness Ritual from his Graveyard to his hand, drew 2 cards, and then discarded Light and Darkness Ritual and a Skull Archfiend. He banished his Ritual Monster to Summon Dark Magician of Destruction from his Extra Deck next, and used its effect to add Magicians’ Souls from his Deck to his hand. He Special Summoned it from his hand by sending Diabellstar the Black Witch from his Deck to his Graveyard and then sent Magicians’ Souls to the Graveyard to Link Summon Relinquished Anima. He sent Anima and Cross-Sheep to the Graveyard to Link Summon Protectcode Talker and then sent Protectcode and Dark Magician of Destruction to the Graveyard to Link Summon Firewall Dragon. He Special Summoned Protectcode co-Linked to Firewall by banishing Anima and Cross-Sheep from his Graveyard and then used Firewall’s effect to add Diabellstar from his Graveyard to his hand. He Special Summoned Diabellstar by sending Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring from his hand to his Graveyard and then used Diabellstar’s effect to Set Deception of the Sinful Spoils from his Deck. He activated it and then activated The Hallowed Azamina. He sent Deception to the Graveyard and Special Summoned Azamina Mu Rcielago from his Extra Deck. He used its effect to add WANTED: Seeker of Sinful Spoils from his Deck to his hand. Next, he sent Firewall Dragon and Mu Rcielago to the Graveyard to Link Summon S:P Little Knight. He returned Mu Rcielago from his Graveyard to his Extra Deck to return The Hallowed Azamina from his Graveyard to his hand. He activated it and Chained WANTED. He added Diabellstar from his Deck to his hand and then sent WANTED to the Graveyard with Hallowed to Special Summon Azamina Ilia Silvia. Next, he banished WANTED from his Graveyard and returned Deception from his Graveyard to the bottom of his Deck to draw a card. He sent Protectcode and Diabellstar to the Graveyard to Link Summon Charmer Quartet in Bloom and then ended his turn.

Milovic drew Sky Striker Ace – Roze and added it to his hand of Sky Striker Mobilize – Linkage!, Forbidden Crown, Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit, and Sky Striker Mecha – Widow Anchor. He activated Forbidden Crown in the Draw Phase, afflicting Silvia with its variety of effects. Next, he activated Widow Anchor, targeting Charmer Quartet. Sahli Chained Little Knight’s effect, targeting Charmer Quartet and Little Knight. Milovic Chained Linkage from his hand. As the Chain resolved, Milovic sent Widow Anchor to the Graveyard with Linkage and Special Summoned Sky Striker Ace = Zero from his Extra Deck. Then Little Knight’s effect resolved, banishing Charmer Quartet and Little Knight from the Duel. In a new Chain, Milovic used Zero’s effect to add Sky Striker Mobilize – Engage! from his Deck to his hand. He activated it, but lost out to Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. Next, Milovic Normal Summoned Roze. Sahli activated the effect of Mind Shuffle, and Milovic Chained the effect of the Ghost Ogre in his hand to destroy the Mind Shuffle. Milovic sent Roze to the Graveyard to Link Summon Prototype Sky Striker Ace – Amatsu. He entered his Battle Phase and then attacked Silvia with his Prototype. He used Prototype’s effect to try to destroy Zero and Silvia, and due to Crown’s effect, only Zero was destroyed. In Main Phase 2, he sent Prototype to the Graveyard to Link Summon Sky Striker Ace – Kagari. He used its effect to return Engage to his hand and activated it to add Linkage from his Deck to his hand and draw a card. Next, he used Kagari as a Link Material to Summon Sky Striker Ace – Shizuku. He Set 2 cards to his back row, and then entered his End Phase. In the End Phase, he added Sky Striker Special Maneuver – Lemnisgate! from his Deck to his hand with Shizuku’s effect. Little Knight and Quartet returned to the field from banishment and then Milovic activated Lemnisgate. He returned Zero, Prototype, Engage, and Linkage from his Graveyard back to his Deck and returned Charmer to Sahli’s Extra Deck.

Sahli drew a card and then activated the effect of Griffoh in the Draw Phase! He Set Mind Shuffle from his Deck and immediately activated it. He used its effect to add Black Chaos from his Deck to his hand and discard Black Luster Soldier – Soldier of Light and Darkness from his hand. Milovic quickly conceded, realizing that he wouldn’t be able to mount a comeback once Sahli Special Summoned Black Chaos.

Milovic opened up Duel 2 with Lemnisgate, Widow Anchor, Solemn Accusation, Linkage, and Sky Striker Mecha – Shark Cannon.

He Set Lemnisgate and then activated Linkage. He sent Lemnisgate to the Graveyard and Special Summoned Kagari from his Extra Deck. He used Kagari’s effect to return Linkage from his Graveyard to his hand. Next, he sent Kagari from his field to his Graveyard to Link Summon Shizuku. He Set all 4 cards in his hand face-down and then attempted to enter his End Phase. While still in the Main Phase, Sahli activated the effect of Griffoh in his hand to Set Mind Shuffle from his Deck and flipped it up. He used its effect to add Black Chaos from his Deck to his hand and discard Diabellstar. He then used Diabellstar’s effect to Special Summon it by sending Skull Archfiend from his hand to his Graveyard. He activated the effects of Diabellstar and Skull Archfiend. He used Skull Archfiend’s effect by sending Light and Darkness Ritual from his Deck to his Graveyard and added Black Luster Soldier – Soldier of Light and Darkness from his Deck to his hand. He Set WANTED from his Deck with the effect of Diabellstar. In the End Phase, Milovic activated the effect of Shizuku, and Sahli Chained Mind Shuffle’s effect by returning Diabellstar to his hand. He Special Summoned Black Luster Soldier – Soldier of Light and Darkness from his hand and Milovic resolved Shizuku’s effect to add Linkage from his Deck to his hand. Sahli used Black Luster Soldier – Soldier of Light and Darkness’s effect to banish Milovic’s face-down Widow Anchor. Next, Milovic activated another Linkage. Sahli Chained his Mind Shuffle’s effect by returning his Soldier to his hand and Special Summoned Magician of Dark Chaos – Black Chaos from his hand. Milovic immediately conceded, realizing that he was completely outmatched by Sahli’s cards.
