Earlier, we talked about the Shaddoll Fusion Monsters you’ll be able to find in The New Challengers. Aside from those 2 monsters, Shaddoll Decks will have a new Spell to play with that gives you the ability to Fusion Summon on your opponent’s turn! Check out El Shaddoll Fusion!

El Shaddoll Fusion is a Quick-Play Spell Card that allows you to Fusion Summon a “Shaddoll” Fusion Monster using monsters in your hand or on your field as Fusion Materials. Functionally, it works like Polymerization, giving you access to the most basic method of Fusion Summoning for your Shaddolls. But unlike Polymerization it’s a Quick-Play Spell, so you can activate it in times where you wouldn’t be able to, like in the Battle Phase or during your opponent’s turn! One thing that makes it particularly great is that you can use it on your Shaddoll Fusion Monster that’s already attacked to Summon a new monster and attack with it too! Then, because you sent a Shaddoll Fusion Monster to the Graveyard, you can use its effect to return El Shaddoll Fusion to your hand, so that you can Set it and Fusion Summon on your opponent’s turn as well! Activating El Shaddoll Fusion during the Battle Phase can end the game in the right situation, as you can get an extra direct attack in when your opponent thinks they’re safe, while also allowing you to control what Fusion Monster you have in play whenever you need it.

Just like Shaddoll Fusion, El Shaddoll Fusion can trigger the effects of the Shaddoll monsters it sends to the Graveyard. However, El Shaddoll Fusion allows you to avoid the pitfall of needing a new Fusion Monster, but only having monsters which you’ve used the effects of this turn. You can avoid Fusion Summoning on your turn, and then Fusion Summon during your opponent’s turn in order to Summon a powerful Fusion Monster and set off the effects you wanted! El Shaddoll Fusion is similar to Sinister Shadow Games this way, as you can use it to make plays now as well as setting up ones in future turns.

Since it’s so flexible, El Shaddoll Fusion can help you Summon any Shaddoll Fusion Monster at any time. If your opponent uses a card like Satellarknight Altair or Call of the Haunted, you can chain El Shaddoll Fusion to Summon El Shaddoll Winda and prevent your opponent from Summoning any more monsters after that! If your opponent Xyz Summons a problematic monster like Number 101: Silent Honor ARK or Castel, the Skyblaster Musketeer, you can bring out the almighty El Shaddoll Shekhinaga to deter them from using its effects. Or even better, if you think they’re going to do a Synchro or Xyz Summon, you can bring out El Shaddoll Grysta as a pre-emptive countermeasure!

El Shaddoll Fusion is a must-have card Shaddoll Decks, as it gives you tons of versatility and the ability to counter your opponent’s plans as they happen! You’ll definitely want to get your hands on this card once The New Challengers is released!
