Round 5: Reanimator Jibri Thomas vs. Dragoon Jose Mejia

Jibri Thomas is currently undefeated with a Lightsworn Zombie Deck that runs Infernity Avenger. His opponent, Jose Mejia, is undefeated with Dragunities. Thomas’s Deck is explosive enough to deal over 8000 damage in a single turn, but Mejia’s Deck can spit out Level 8 Synchro Monsters each turn.Watch out for the crazy combos both of these Decks can pull off!

Round 6: Fired-Up Jonathan Barber vs. Tombkeeper Marquis Johnson

Jonathan Barber and Marquis Johnson are currently undefeated in the tournament, with perfect 5-0 records. Barber is running a Flamvell Lightsworn Deck that he’s been running for over a year. His opponent, Marquis Johnson is running a Gravekeeper’s Deck that uses Malefic Stardust Dragon and Malefic Cyber End Dragon to overwhelm opponents with high-attack monsters. Necrovalley may make this a tough Match for Barber, who won’t be able to use Rekindling while it’s on the field. (Rekindling Special Summons as many 200 DEF FIRE monsters from your Graveyard as possible. All the Flamvell monsters Barber uses fit the bill.)

Round 4: Brainsmith Christopher Rivera VS Chaotic Machinist Francisco Rome

Christopher Rivera is currently undefeated with his Zombie Psychic Lightsworn Deck. His opponent, Francisco Rome, is undefeated with his Machine Chaos Deck. This is sure to be an interesting Match, played by 2 different Decks that are tough to spot in this weekend’s field of players. Either Duelists can win here and advance with a 4-0 record.

Round 3 Feature Match: Christopher Burrows VS Julian Keller

Christopher Burrows hails from Chicago, and is 1 of our undefeated Scrap Duelists here this weekend, packing Summoner Monk and Caius the Shadow Monarch as his personal tech.  His opponent is Long Island’s Julian Keller, a Lightsworn Duelist packing Gold Sarcophagus and other familiar choices.

Dragon Duel Finals: Kyle Mistysyn VS Jack Hoyt

Toronto’s Kyle Mistysyn is twelve years old, and is here undefeated in the last Round of the Sunday Dragon Duel!  Mistysyn is running Twilight, while his opponent – Massacheussett’s Jack Hoyt – is playing X-Sabers.  This could be Mistysyn’s first-ever Dragon Duel win, but Jack Hoyt is tough competition: he’s won nine Dragon Duels before, and this might be his tenth victory.

Quartefinal Feature Match: Joshua Graham VS Cody Gravelle

Yesterday we saw Joshua Graham 2-0 Cody Gravelle, in a Feature Match that pitted Graham’s Gladiator Beasts against Gravelle’s Lightsworn.  Today, they’re paired off again right here in the Top 8.  Would we see Graham dominate Gravelle a second time, or would Gravelle win himself some redemption?

“This is familiar… strangely familiar,” smiled Gravelle, as Graham took his seat.

“Yeah, I know, eh?”  Graham grinned and shuffled up.

Sort of deja-vu.”

Round 7 Feature Match: Joshua Graham VS Cody Gravelle

Cody Gravelle is here from Niagara Falls playing Lightsworn today, he’s undefeated and looking to virtually lock himself into the top 16 by winning this match. His opponent is Josh Graham, an Orillia, Ontario native, who’s looking for the same thing. Both Duelists can’t win though, so something’s gotta give. Let’s see what happens in a throwback to an older format where Gladiator Beasts and Lightsworn were constantly at war.
