There are all sorts of awesome, exclusive prizes to claim from the Public Events Prize Wall this weekend! Bradul “Tony” Ortiz has cashed in his Public Events tickets for one of the greatest prizes of all — a Super Rare copy of the 2018 YCS Prize Card, Chaos Emperor, the Dragon of Armageddon!
This card is an amazing collector’s item, on top of being a powerhouse in a Duel! When Tony heard that this was a potential prize, he immediately hit the Public Events grind to earn enough tickets and claim it for himself. Congratulations!
YCS Vancouver is the first North America YCS of the season and the second YCS where players have a chance to get their hands on the newest YCS Prize Card: Anotherverse Gluttonia!
The first ever GIANT YCS Prize Card has been claimed!
Featured here from right to left, we have Anthony Accettura, Tony Ortiz, and Michael Coca (and also their friend whose name we didn’t get but we’re thrilled he’s here). These Duelists pooled their Public Events tickets to claim Anotherverse Dragon for themselves! This is the first time a YCS Prize Card has been given the Giant Card treatment, making this a historic day for these Duelists!
If you’re at the 2019 North America WCQ, you may have heard Joey Wheeler and Ishizu Ishtar announce that a new Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Prize Card will be introduced at the next YCS event – YCS Portland, Oregon on August 24th and 25th. If you aren’t at the 2019 North America WCQ, you can learn about this prize card here!
YCS Toronto is the first YCS after the 2015 WCQ’s, and as a result it’s the first one to debut the new Prize Card: Minerva, the Exalted Lightsworn! Duelists have traveled far and wide to win this card, but only a select few will earn it. There are two Super Rare copies given out to 2nd and 3rd Place of the main event, and one Ultra Rare copy given to the winner of the whole thing!
One of the greatest things about this weekend is that YCS Toronto marks the debut of a new Championship Prize Card! While Number 106: Giant Hand has been a coveted prize for over a year, it’s now retired from prize card duty and an all-new Championship promo will be warded to top finishers this weekend. Feast your eyes upon the crown jewel of the weekend, Rex Goodwin’s Ascension Sky Dragon!
