Read more…Welcome to the Top 16! Esala Sammidha de Alwis Wathuthantrige is from Los Angeles, California and placed 12th after Swiss with Salamangreat. This is another YCS Top in a long line of YCS Top Cut appearances. His opponent is the 28th seed Salvador Molina Ochoa for Mexico and he has what is essentially an Orcust Deck but also uses Trickstar and Sky Striker cards to enable the Orcust combo. It’s the type of Deck that we saw earlier in the year when Duelists were first starting to figure out how to put two monsters with different names on the field, and the Deck has clearly done well for Salvador Molina Ochoa. Will it get him to the Top 8, or will Esala get one step closer to his first YCS Championship? It’s time to Duel!
Welcome to the Top 16! Hani Jawhari from Louisiana has Danger! Orcust and ended Swiss in 15th place with a record of 8-2 is taking on Clifton Land II from Louisville, Kentucky who ended Swiss in 2nd place with a record of 9-1 and his Lunalight Orcust Deck. We saw a version of the Lunalight Orcust Deck at YCS Portland and this one has some similarities. Only one of these Duelists will move on to the Top 8. It’s time to Duel!
801 Duelists have been reduced to only 16! Former Dragon Duelist Dominic Couch is here from Aurora, IL, piloting a hybrid Danger! Crusadia Thunder Deck. He’s facing Joe Alvarez, from Fresno, CA, using Salamangreats.
