We are in Round 11 here at TEAM YCS Las Vegas. While most of the teams are still in the running to make it into the Top 8, we have two teams of Duelists who are all familiar with each other and are just trying to finish in the Top 32 for prizing.

Adam Belohradsky is a former YCS Las Vegas Champion. He’s here with his teammates and friends, Kyle Crofoot and Andrew Amaro. Together, they are Team Who’s Joe.

Sitting across from Belohradsky is Kenny Nguyen, a former World Championship competitor, who chose to team up with Craig Hayashi and Chancy Wigglestove. They’re Team Second Prime. 

Duel One

Nguyen won the dice roll and chose to go first. He started the duel with Sky Striker Mecha – Hornet Drones, he Special Summoned a Sky Striker Ace Token, and then used it for Sky Striker Ace – Kagari. Nguyen activated Kagari, brought back the Hornet Drones, and used the Hornet Drones again. He Special Summoned Cupsy☆Yummy and used its effect to add Yummy☆Surprise from his Deck to his hand. 

Nguyen Synchro Summoned Cupsy★Yummy Way using Kagari and Cupsy, he activated its effect and added Marshmao☆Yummy and Lollipo☆Yummy. Nguyen discarded the Marshmao and Special Summoned Lollipo. He used the Lollipo to Link Summon Yummy★Snatchy and placed Yummyusment☆Mignon onto the field from his hand. Nguyen activated Mignon’s effect and Special Summoned Lollipo.

Nguyen Link Summoned Reprodocus using Lollipo and Snatchy. He tried to activate its effect, but Belohradsky Chained Nibiru, the Primal Being! Nguyen used his new Primal Being Token for Link Spider, and then his Sky Striker Ace Token (which couldn’t be Tributed by Nibiru) with the Spider to Synchro Summon Lollipo★Yummy Way! Nguyen activated Lollipo and Special Summoned Lollipo☆Yummy and Yummy★Snatchy from his Graveyard. He then used Snatchy and Lollipo to Link Summon S:P Little Knight. With Little Knight, Nguyen banished Nibiru, then activated Yummy☆Surprise to Special Summon Marshmao☆Yummy and add back his Surprise. He Set 1 card and ended his turn.

Belohradsky had Dracotail Urgula, Ketu Dracotail, Dracotail Lukias, and Fallen of Albaz. He drew Dracotail Sting for his turn. 

Belohradsky activated Ketu Dracotail, Nguyen Chained Lollipo, and shuffled it back to bring out Cupsy★Yummy Way and Cupsy☆Yummy. Belohradsky added Dracotail Pan and then used it and Urgula to Fusion Summon Dracotail Arthalion! He activated Arthalion, then Pan, then Urgula. Nguyen Chained his Cupsy☆Yummy, and Chained his Yummy☆Surprise! Nguyen Special Summoned Snatchy and drew a card. Belohradsky Set Rahu Dracotial and Dracotail Flame, then destroyed Mingnon and Snatchy, then bounced his Pan and Nguyen’s Little Knight with Arthalion. 

Moving to the Battle Phase, Arthalion attacked over Cupsy★Yummy Way.

In the Main Phase 2, Belohradsky activated Rahu Dracotail and used the Lukias from his hand along with a Dracotail Faimena in his Deck to make Dracotail Gulamel. He activated Faimena, then Chained Gulamel and destroyed the Cupsy. He Set another Rahu Dracotail. Belohradsky activated Urgula to add back his Faimena. 

Belohradsky Normal Summoned Fallen of Albaz! He activated its effect and discarded Pan to Fusion Summon Albion the Branded Dragon using Nguyen’s Marshmao. He activated Albion and used Arthalion and Fallen of Albaz to Fusion Summon Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon. 

Belohradsky activated Faimena, and Nguyen Chained Nibiru, the Primal Being! Belohradsky Chained his Mirrorjade and sent Titaniklad the Ash Dragon to banish his own Gulamel. Albion and Mirrorjade went to the Graveyard, and Nibiru hit the field.

Moving to the End Phase, Belohradsky resolved his Mirrorjade and then activated Albion to Set The Fallen & The Virtuous. He then used Titaniklad to Special Summon Fallen of the White Dragon, which he used to Special Summon Incredible Ecclesia, the Virtuous. He ended his turn.

Nguyen drew to start his turn and activated Mulcharmy Fuwalos in his own Standby Phase! He moved into the Main Phase and Normal Summoned Cupsy☆Yummy, he activated its effect, and Belohradsky Chained The Fallen & The Virtuous. Alba-Lenatus the Abyss Dragon was sent to the grave to destroy Cupsy, while Cupsy added Marshmao☆Yummy to Nguyen’s hand. 

Nguyen activated his Yummyusment☆Mignon in the Graveyard and tried to place itself, Snatchy, and Cupsy★Yummy Way back into the deck, Belohradsky Chained Dracotail Sting! He banished the Mignon and the Snatchy, then put his Ketu on the bottom of his own deck and drew Branded Fusion!

Nguyen activated Marshmao☆Yummy and used its effect to add back Yummy☆Surprise. Realizing he wouldn’t be able to play through the rest of the Dracotail Trap Cards, Nguyen decided to save time and concede the first Duel. 

Duel Two

Nguyen started by Normal Summoning Cooky☆Yummy. Belohradsky thought for a moment and then activated Dracotail Faimena! He used Dracotail Lukias and Fallen of the White Dragon to Fusion Summon Dracotail Arthalion. Belohradsky activated Arthalion and then Chained his Lukias. With Lukias, Belohradsky Set Dracotail Sting, he returned Cooky and Fallen of the White Dragon to the hand with Arthalion.

Nguyen activated Yummy☆Surprise and Special Summoned his Cooky, he used it to Link Summon Yummy★Snatchy and activated it to get Yummyusment☆Mignon, which he used to bring back Cooky and Synchro Summon Cupsy★Yummy Way. Nguyen activated Cupsy and added Cupsy☆Yummy and Marshmao☆Yummy and discarded Effect Veiler. 

Nguyen Special Summoned Marshmao and used its effect to add back the Surprise, then Special Summoned Cupsy and activated its effect to add Yummyusment★Acroquey to his hand. Nguyen activated Acroquey, and then Link Summoned Linkuriboh, which he used with Marshmao to Synchro Summon Lollipo★Yummy Way. He activated Arcoquey and Lollipo★Yummy Way, destroying the set Sting and bringing back the Marshmao and the Cupsy. 

Nguyen used Lollipo★Yummy Way and Marshmao to make Reprodocus! Using Reprodocus’ effect, he turned Cupsy into a LIGHT Fiend-Type monster, and then used it to Link Summon Fiendsmith’s Requiem! Nguyen Tributed Requiem to Special Summon Lacrima the Crimson Tears. He activated Lacrima and sent Fiendsmith Engraver to the Graveyard. He then Link Summoned Fiendsmith’s Sequence with Lacrima and Reprodocus and used its effect to Fusion Summon Fiendsmith’s Lacrima. Nguyen activated Lacrima’s effect and added Engraver back to his hand before activating Engraver. He added Fiendsmith’s Tract, activated it, and added Fabled Lurrie, which he then used and Special Summoned to the field. 

Nguyen continued and used Sequence and Lurrie to Link Summon S:P Little Knight, which he activated to banish Dracotail Arthalion. He activated Engraver’s effect in the Graveyard and shuffled Lurrie back into the Deck. Then, Nguyen Xyz Summoned D/D/D Wave High King Caesar. He Set 2 cards and ended his turn.

Belohradsky had Dinowrestler Pankratops, Rahu Dracotail, and Fallen of the White Dragon. He drew Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring to start his turn. 

Belohradsky started by Special Summoning Dinowrestler Pankratops, and Nguyen started consulting with his teammates for advice.

Belohradsky moved into his Battle Phase, and Nguyen activated Yummy☆Surprise. He brought back Marshmao, which added back Surprise, then he Tributed Marshmao to bring back his Linkuriboh!

Belohradsky forced the Linkuriboh activation and then, in his Main Phase 2, activated Dinowrestler Pankratops and tried to destroy Nguyen’s D/D/D Wave High King Caesar. Nguyen Chained Cupsy★Yummy Way and returned it to the Extra Deck.

Realizing how much time was on the clock, Belohradsky conceded so that both Duelists could go to a third game with plenty of time left on the clock.

Duel Three

Belohradsky chose to go first. He started with Branded Fusion, Dracotail Pan, two copies of Dracotail Faimena, and Fallen of the White Dragon.

In the Draw Phase, Nguyen activated Mulcharmy Fuwalos. Moving to the Main Phase, he activated and Special Summoned Fallen of the White Dragon by sending Albion the Branded Dragon to his Graveyard. Belohradsky Chained Dracotail Faimena and used Fallen and Pan for Dracotail Arthalion. Belohradsky activated Arthalion and tried to add back Fallen and Pan, then Chained Pan, and Nguyen Chained Infinite Impermanence to negate Arhtalion. Belohradsky Set Rahu Dracotail with Pan.

Belohradsky activated Rahu and used his other Faimena from his hand and Dracotail Urgula from his Deck to Fusion Summon another Dracotail Arthalion. He activated Faimena and Urgula and grabbed Ketu Dracotail and Dracotail Flame. Belohradsky activated Ketu and Nguyen Chained Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. He used Urgula’s effect get a Faimena back into his hand.

Belohradsky activated Branded Fusion, Nguyen Chained Retaliating “C”! Belohradsky used Fallen of the White Dragon and Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous to Fusion Summon Albion the Branded Dragon, which he activated to banish his Athalion of Falled from the Graveyard for Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon. He then moved to his End Phase and tried to use Albion in the Graveyard, but Nguyen Chained Dominus Purge!

Nguyen drew to start his turn. He moved into the Main Phase and Normal Summoned Mulcharmy Fuwalos. Nguyen used both Fuwalos and Retaliating to Link Summon Sky Striker Ace – Camellia. He Link Summoned Sky Striker Ace – Kagari with Camellia and Belohradsky Chained Dracotail Faimena. He used Albion and Arthalion for Khaos Starsource Dragon, which destroyed Kagari. 

Nguyen activated Lightning Storm, and Belohradsky flipped Dracotail Flame. He negated Storm and drew Sting. Nguyen then Special Summoned Marshmao☆Yummy, but it was immediately banished by the effect of Belohradsky’s Mirrorjade. Nguyen activated Yummy☆Surprise and Special Summoned Cooky☆Yummy. He used it to Link Summon Yummy★Snatchy, which he activated to get Yummyusment☆Mignon.

Nguyen activated Mignon’s effect and Special Summoned Cooky☆Yummy, then Synchro Summoned Cupsy★Yummy Way. While adding Lollipo☆Yummy and Cupsy☆Yummy, Nguyen realized that he had moved most of his Yummy monsters into his Side Deck between games and was out of monsters! Knowing that he wouldn’t be able to finish the match in time, he chose to concede!

While looking through his Deck, Nguyen realized that he sided out most of his Yummy names and was out of plays. Knowing that he wouldn’t be able to finish the match in time, he chose to concede!
