Now that the 2026 North America World Championship Qualifier is finished and the 2026 Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME World Championship is coming up, Duelists who didn’t qualify to compete in this year’s World Championship are looking ahead to next year. Regional Qualifiers for 2027 are already kicking off, allowing players to earn invitations to next year’s North America World Championship Qualifier. A victory in this weekend’s Regional Qualifier Public Events will award a brand new Game Mat (in addition to an invitation to compete at next year’s North America World Championship Qualifier, a Regional Card Case, and Prize Wall Tickets). The new Game Mat features Witness of the Ancient from Chaos Origins. YCS Montréal is the first YCS event where this new Game Mat is available, and you can only get it by taking first place in a 16-player 2027 Regional Qualifier Public Event.
