Round 2 Feature Match: Nicolas Ramlal and Connor Thompson

The first round of YCS Raleigh has ended and we are now in Round 2. This round we have Nicolas Ramlal from Orlando, FL, and Connor Thompson from Aiken, SC. Both of these Duelists won their first round. 

Ramlal is using a Voiceless Voice strategy while Thompson is using Horus Orcust! Orcust just got a buff from the newest Forbidden & Limited List with Orcust Harp Horror going to Unlimited status! With 3 copies of Harp Horror in his Deck, along with the powerful Horus cards, it is time to see how the Orcust strategy fares against the Voiceless Voice!

Both players shuffled up and Ramlal won the dice roll and chose to go first!

Round 1 Feature Match: Chad Knowles vs. Ryan Strickler

The recent Forbidden & Limited List update knocked a couple of popular cards out of competitive Dueling, while also loosening limitations on other cards. Chad Knowles from Tallapoosa, Georgia and Ryan Strickler from Harrisonburg, Virginia took advantage of some of the lifted limitations with their Deck choices this weekend. Chad Knowles is Dueling with a HERO Deck, now packed with a full 3 copies of the previously Semi-Limited Destiny HERO – Malicious. Ryan Strickler is piloting a Sky Striker Deck that uses 3 copies of the previously Semi-Limited Sky Striker Mobilize – Engage!. Many Duelists believe that the lifted limitations on previously Forbidden, Limited, or Semi-Limited cards will have a big impact on the viability of some Decks, and Chad and Ryan are here this weekend to prove it! Now, they’re Dueling against one another in a Match that will determine which Duelist will start the tournament off with a victory. It’s time to Duel!

Welcome to YCS Raleigh! We’re kicking things off with Dakota Cottrell, from Colorado Springs, CO, playing Branded Chimera! He’s facing off against Richard Brown, from Florence, SC, using Phantom Knight Goblin Bikers! It’s Fusions versus Xyz in this Feature Match, but only one can come out on top!

TEAM YCS Las Vegas Dragon Duel Championship Playoff!

At each YCS, the winner of the Saturday and Sunday Dragon Duel tournaments face off against each other, with the winner crowned as the Dragon Duel Champion of the weekend! Today, we have Shaun L, the Saturday winner, taking on Gabriel T, Sunday’s winner. The victor of this match will take home a Championship Trophy and a set of Super Rare Darklord YCS Prize Cards! The Finals Feature Match: The Ultimate Time Wizard TEAM Tournament

February 25th, 2024

Nearly 300 Duelists competed in the Ultimate Time Wizard TEAM Tournament this weekend, Dueling in three eras the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG: 2005, 2010, and 2011. Now just two teams were left: one team would walk away with over-sized foil versions for Caius the Shadow MonarchMobius the Frost Monarch, and Raiza the Storm Monarch, but the winners would claim fully-fledged GIANT CARD printings! 

Joshua Lytle of Team Lytle To No Tops is up against Rudy Gonzalez of Team TMT, taking a classic Reborn Tengu Deck against Gonzalez’s Tengu Tech Genus build. It’s 2011 all over again and these competitors are ready to throw down: it’s time to Duel!

Top 8 Feature Match: Jarred Randolph (Team Zero Mortals Plan) vs. Levi Dudley (Team 2 Doods)

Yesterday, 571 teams gathered to test their Dueling prowess. Now, only the Top 8 remain! Team Zero Mortals Plan’s Jarred Randolph is here from Deleware, and is the only Floowandereeze Duelist remaining! He’s facing Team 2 Doods’s Levi Dudley, from Alabama, and his Fire King Snake-Eye Deck! Randolph’s trio of Dimension Shifter could give him the edge in the matchup, but will it be enough? We have Chancy Wigglestove of Team Squiddy facing off against James Vance of Team Ragnarok. Wigglestove’s piloting the Snake-Eyes Fire King deck that’s dominated the weekend, while Vance is using the new Voiceless Voice deck from Phantom Nightmare. Top 8 Feature Match: The Ultimate Time Wizard TEAM Tournament

One of the greatest things about the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG is that it’s got more than two decades of competitive pedigree, spanning some of the most beloved formats in all of card gaming. Normally, a Time Wizard Format tournament les competitors relive one of their favorite eras of Dueling. But this weekend’s all about Team Dueling, and the YCS main event isn’t the only team tournament in the mix! The Ultimate Time Wizard TEAM Tournament here in Las Vegas pits teams of 3 Duelists each against each other, with each pair of Duelists competing in a different era.
