This Round 7 Feature Match pits two friends against each other! Michael Thomas and Joe Dietrich are both from Chicago and see each other all the time, but fate has brought them together in this not-so-remote Remote Duel. Thomas even borrowed cards from Dietrich for this event! He’s playing Adventure Spright, while Thomas is on Bystial Dragon Link. Friends or not, only one can win this Match!

Duel 1

Dietrich started with Water Enchantress of the Temple adding Rite of Aramesir to his hand. Using Rite, he created an Adventurer Token and got Fateful Adventure. He Special Summoned Wandering Gryphon Rider, then used Fateful Adventure to equip his token with Dracoback, the Rideable Dragon. He Normal Summoned Nimble Beaver, then Special Summoned Spright Jet. Thomas responded with Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring to negate Jet. Dietrich used Beaver and Jet to play Gigantic Spright, and it Special Summoned Spright Blue. That let him get Spright Carrot. He used Gigantic with Blue to play Spright Sprind, which sent Nimble Angler to the Graveyard. Angler Special Summoned two more Beavers, and he Special Summoned Carrot. He stacked the Beavers to play Melffy of the Forest, adding Melffy Catty to his hand. He used Fateful Adventure to add Water Enchantress and discarded it. He moved to the End Phase and Special Summoned Catty.

Thomas used The Bystial Lubellion, and Dietrich hit it with Ash Blossom. Thomas played Dragon Ravine, discarding Rokket Recharger to send Chaos Dragon Levianeer. He played Starliege Seyfert next, and Catty’s effect returned itself to the hand to add Melffy Pinny. He Special Summoned Pinny and Synchro Summoned Herald of the Arc Light. He then activated Sprind, and Thomas conceded with no way through Dietrich’s board!

Duel 2

Thomas played Branded Regained… and passed.

Dietrich activated Water Enchantress of the Temple, getting Rite of Aramesir. He activated it for an Adventurer Token and searched out Fateful Adventure. He used that to add Wandering Gryphon Rider, discarding Dracoback. Dracoback’s effect equipped it to his Adventurer Token, and he bounced Thomas’s Branded Regained. He Special Summoned Wandering Gryphon Rider, then played Spright Starter to get Spright Blue. Blue searched for Spright Jet. He Normal Summoned Nimble Beaver, and Xyz Summoned Gigantic Spright. Its effect Special Summoned Spright Red. Then he Special Summoned Jet, getting Spright Starter. He moved to the Battle Phase, sending his monsters to deal 8100 damage and immediately end the Duel! Thomas showed his hand of Branded Regained, 2 Bystial Magnamhut, Levianeer, and Absorouter Dragon – a hand that left him completely helpless!

Joe Dietrich capitalizes on a crushingly bad hand, taking this Match with Adventure Sprights!
